element of life water sustains me connecting me to earth
Yesss! Beaches reconnect me to my soul, which then puts me in the here now. There's a very vague chance I might move to Santa Barbara, California (from New York City) and live only a short walk from the beach. Don't know if it can come to pass, but that beach...oh, that beach does call to me. :-)
I don't know how I found your Blog Becca..but as an English 45 year old artist..I can understand your words. Water to connect and reflect..what do you see in the reflection?...some people see their face..others look past the obvious and see the infinite spread of space! And taken in that context..then yes..you are a star!

being by the water is always inspiring to me, and obviously it is to you as well "water sustains me, connecting me to earth"
I love water too, it is a great connection to nature. Especially the sea or a large lake.... Lovely photo and words.

I gaze inward
toward my soul's reflection
So beautifully put and I do like being by a body of water.

I love the idea of water connecting me to the earth. Beautiful and calming haiku :)
I understand the connection completly. Mine is too the soil, but works the same!

I love the sea, I love all water but the ocean has a natural uniqueness. Beautiful words and picture :)
These are both beautiful. Again, tried commenting on your haiku yesterday, but Blogger refused to cooperate.
